Allure Summer Essentials Beauty Box

A few weeks ago before I cancelled almost all of my subscription boxes, I decided to splurge and purchase the Allure summer essentials beauty box. I was reading My Subscription Addiction and her blog said the sale started at 12:01 pm, and it sells out almost instantly. So i decided to try, and I got a box. For 39.99, you were to get over 250.00 worth of products. I was actually pretty excited about this, because I would never go out and buy these products for myself. Today I got the box, and let me just say how incredibly surprised I was that it was not only 12 pounds, but every product was FULL size, every product is something I will absolutely use, and it came with a coupon book!!!

April Birchbox Review

Molly is taking a nap. This NEVER happens, so i not Only prepared dinner, I also cleaned and Now i can sit down and actually blog without her running around like a mad woman!!

I got my birchbox home limited edition box today, but I also received my April birchbox. This months theme was tiny tweaks, big results and it was a Women’s Health box. I actually really enjoyed this box, although I did not think I would!

This is the outside case of the birchbox. The normal box it comes in was inside this.

Here is what was inside my box. I thought it was nicely stocked. I ALWAYS love hair samples (shampoo and conditioner). I love to bring them on vacation with me or use them when i run out of my products. They are always good to keep stashed away!

-Mirenesse: Glossy Kiss Lipstick. I will be trying to out, its a nice size and a nice color!
-Oribe Shampoo and Condition for Colored treated hair: Perfect because i’m color treated!!
-Skin&co Roma: Cleansing Body Gel with Olive and Sicilian Orange Extracts, I will try this…Im not so sure how i feel about it though.
-Supergoop: SPF 40 Anti-Aging eye cream. This is a little guy, I will keep it around!
-Kusmi Tea Paris: Two mood enhancing whole leaf brews. I enjoy a nice cup of tea every once and a while (usually i’m an iced girl) so this will be nice to keep in my stock!!

There was also a nice little offer for a free year of Women’s Health magazine! I will subscribe, why not! I always like to look at magazines!!

BirchBox Home Limited Edition Review

My BirchBox Home Limited Edition came today! I was so excited. I love home stuff, and I love gardening (although I am HORRIBLE at it!) I have seen spoilers, but its so much more exciting when you actually have it in your hand! This box is a birchbox, but instead of the 10 dollar monthly subscription they sometimes come out with limited edition boxes. This box is called From the Garden, and it was 32.00, but I’m sure like other people, I used my credits towards the box (so I got it for cheaper then the normal price!)  Lets get to it…

These are my first looks. The first glance when you opened the box was a bunch of the packing paper pieces (which were adorable but of course I did not take a picture of it before I ripped it all out!) I was so surprised how packed full it was!! I did not think there would be this much stuff inside. I also was super excited about the information cards.

They are adorable!! There are five of them! One is the box contents, and the other give you tips on some of the products inside. For example, there is a Knife cuts 101 card, a gardening tips for every level of green thumb. It really is just adorable!! On to the actual products!!
Birchbox Shopping List ($6.00): This will be a big hit in my house! I love shopping lists, and this is just adorable!

TOCCA Crema de Mano Luxe ($20.00): This is a full size hand cream. I LOVE the smell of this!

Gift Republic Grow me, Growing Kits ($6.00): I got the basil one, and we LOVE basil in this house. I can not wait to try it out! I actually just killed out other basil plant, I hope this one has a longer life!!

Sarabeths Spreadable Fruit (Peach Apricot and Strawberry Raspberry-$8.50): Yes! We love jam’s in this house! Molly will be thrilled!

L’Occitane Jasmin and Bergamot Eau de Toilette (??): The normal size on their website is 75.00, Im not sure how much you would estimate this. 8.50-15.00? What do you think? I still loved it!!
Baggu Market Shopping Bag ($9.00): This is absolutely adorable! I cant wait to bring this to the grocery store for my fruit!!

LAFCO Little Luxuries Candle Tin: My love for candles has been in this blog plenty of other times (today..) and i was a bit apprehensive about this candle, cilantro orange just does not sound appealing to me. I love it! It smells perfect! It also comes with adorable little matches on top! That’s my kind of candle!

Core Bamboo Radish Print Utility Knife ($13.99): This is the cutest knife I have ever seen! I’m just in love with it!! I’m going to use it to make dinner later!!

This box was absolutely amazing. I have to say, I am more then happy to have “Splurged,” even with the points I used for this box. This box totaled: Approx. 84.00 I can not believe how happy I am with this!!! Did you order birchbox home? If you did, did you love it as much as I did?

If you are interested in this box it is only for a limited time: BirchBox

Happy Tuesday & April Love With Food Review!

Happy Tuesday!

Today is Izzy’s big vet day! Okay, its not that big, but I haven’t brought her to the vet since she was only 1 pound when we found her under the dumpster. I need to find out how old she is so we can get her fixed!!

It is also time for my Love with Food review! I use to get this box monthly before i realized how many subscription boxes were actually out there. I loved it then, and still love it! This month it was curated by Andrew Zimmern, who I usually can’t watch on television because he grosses me out too much! The food in this box actually was tame, and very yummy (well, the few items I tried anyway)

In side this box was:
Air popped Sorghum Grain from Mini Pop
Original Cocomel from JJs Sweets
Sea Salt Cocomel from JJs Sweets
Organic Fennel Pollen from Pollen Ranch
Lemony Lover Olives from Oloves
Salty Pepper Nuggets from Somersault Snacks
Creamy Buffalo Ranch Dip from Buff Lo Dip
Smoky Chili and Lime Chickpea snack from The Good Bean
Interested food to say the least, but from what I tried I thought it was good! My husband is really into Buffalo dips and sauces so I’m sure tonight he will dig into the dip (which is in the cutest little jar!)
Love with Food is a wonderful monthly box for 12.00 (this is including shipping) They also donate a meal for every box they sell, which is great!
If you use code: AZVIP042013 you can receive 5 dollars off of your first order.
