Kids Travel Activities

Spring Break is here for some, and for others it is coming. Since Easter falls at the end of April, our spring break is then. We will not be traveling this year but a lot of people do!!

Traveling with children is a lot of work. From the prep to the stops, it can be a headache sometimes. Here are some fun travel tips for you, Curtesy of a crazy travel mom (yes that’s me).

1) Always have something new and exciting for them, that they have never seen! We don’t travel by plane much, but last year Molly went to Disney with her dad and her grandma (long story short, I had to cancel at the last minute because of a pregnancy complication). She was old enough to pack her own little backpack, so the night before I stuck some Melissa and Doug Travel activities in there for her!

For $15 it was 100% worth it! I added a few of these types of books in her bag and from what I hear she loved them!

2) The iPad. Yes I know a lot of people don’t like to stick their kids in front of the iPad but in long trips, find a few good movies and give in! I know my daughter loves her crafts and stuff, but the iPad will help calm her down!

3) Make your own activity kit!

We make our own activity kit!! We usually have a fun travel game. This 6 in 1 magnetic games from Pressman Toys is perfect! It’s especially perfect if you have another child in the back seat!!

It’s perfectly hand held!

We also Make a small little box of crafts. Crayons and paper are a must! We also have another small box full of stuff to Make bracelets, keychains, and more!!

I purchased both small container in Micheals for less then $2! They close nicely so nothing will fall out!

Where are you headed this Spring Break? What are some of your travel ideas?

Organizing with Mabel’s Labels!

If you haven’t heard of Mabel’s Labels yet, you are missing out! From organizing to school labeling these labels are absolutely high quality and amazing. They have tons of designs and patterns, and different packages you can purchase as well!

Mabel’s Labels were kind enough to send me Labels for Molly back in September, and Evan this month! I use Molly’s Labels for school supplies as well as dance stuff! They are amazing and are still on her folders from September!

Evan is only 8 months and he doesn’t go to Daycare, so I wanted to use his Labels to help organize. Although I may know where all of his stuff is, other people may not. I decided to use his Labels on containers I purchased on Amazon, for his food!!

The first thing I did was label the containers. I picked out dump trucks for his Labels. The package not only comes with round Labels but all different sizes and shapes!

I can’t Believe I’m posting this photo but ya’ll need to know the need to fix this closet/pantry! This is some scary stuff. I cleaned this out, got rid of boxes and all food. This is important for me to do anyway, as sometimes food gets shoved in the back of the cabinet and sits in there for months (gross)!

I ended up putting his food pouches in them! It’s seriously the perfect way to organize, and super easy for people that are watching him to find!!

Mabel’s Labels is turning SWEET 16! Happy Birthday!! Each week until the end of March they will be posting a sale item at 40% off. This week are clothing labels! These stick on and are washable. We have used these before as well. Perfect for the school coats!

The fun thing about this sale is they are also using some NEW designs. Avocados, cupcakes and a taco just to name a few!!

Go check out their sale HERE and make sure to stock up for school, camp, or even vacation!

I will be back soon with some Easter ideas including Mabel’s Labels! Stay tuned!
